My wife and I have entered Lanzarote Ironman – Our journey starts here.

Next May, my wife Jane and I are entered into the Lanzarote Ironman, which is one of the toughest Ironman courses in the world.Yes it will be the biggest challenge of our sporting careers and it scares the crap out of us, prompting the following-

Action – making a plan, both logistical and a training plan.
It means doing something positive and fun TOGETHER AS LIFE PARTNERS, and not being selfish.
Sacrifice – dedicating the TIME to execute the plan.
It means less talking, and more action.
It means entering the race, filling out the form and paying the fee (like you did on your detox experience).
It means doing everything in our power to achieve the final goal – TO COMPLETE THE INFAMOUS IRONMAN LANZOROTE next May.

The plan started Last week with a visit to Recci the Ironman Course.

3  x long 90-100km hilly hot Rides on Ironman Course
Sea swims, and Ironman Route runs on the Prom before breakfast.

Finishing the week with a non tapered entry into the OceanLava Middle distance (Canarian Champs), and Jane Evans in the Quarter Distance event.
Very tough day in the heat and hills.
Jane finishing 7th Female and first in Age group.
Adam finishing 33rd in the middle distance with 1st in Age group.
Nice one – great prep week for full Ironman Lanzarote in May.
