<p>This breakfast only requires two main ingredients.</p>
<p>Eggs and bananas</p>
<p>Directions for one person</p>
<p>Heat a frying pan.</p>
<p>Turn on your grill on full heat</p>
<p>Blend 2 eggs and one (not green) banana.</p>
<p>Add a small amount of butter or coconut oil to the pan.<br />
Pour  the pancake mixture into the pan from the blender.</p>
<p>Leave for approx 2 mins.</p>
<p>Then remove the pan from the heat and place it under the grill, in order to cook the upper part.</p>
<p>Leave under grill until golden brown, or approx 2-3mins on full blast.</p>
<p>Caution not to melt the pan handle if plastic &#8211; (leave sticking out of grill with door open).</p>
<p>Remove from grill and slide onto a plate.</p>
<p>Add some peanut butter in a strip along the centre of the pancake. Then roll it up and slice to eat.</p>
<p>Note &#8211; other additions, could be Greek yogurt, Almond butter, honey etc.</p>
<p>Enjoy the taste and simplicity of it.</p>

<p>One has to think twice about your food choices today.</p></div>

<p>It was so easy during Xmas just to reach for that sweet snack or that bit of xmas cake.</p></div>
<p>So thus far today &#8211; I have had two breakfasts as per usual for me.</p>
</div>
<p>at 8.30am after swim training it&#8217;s &#8211; Natural Greek yogurt, some chopped fruit and some nuts.</p></div>
<p>11.30 it was some eggs, beans, mushrooms, some baked ham.</p></div>
<p>Lunch will be some fish and some mushy peas.</p>
</div>
<p>I WANT YOU ALL TO EMAIL YOUR WEIGHT IN KG ON YOUR SCALES PLEASE AS OF TODAY.</p></div>

<h2>THE STORY IN FULL:</h2>

<div>My Pura Vida Experience so far,</div>

<div>I first heard of Adam and Pura Vida Greystones,from my husband.  His friends gifted John a one to one life coaching session with Adam with a view to  finding a  work life balance and hopefully, to quit smoking.   After meeting Adam John decided to do Personal Training (pt) with him for three months.  In that time, I noticed huge changes in him, quickly.  His diet and nutrition immediately improved. After each  pt session it was obvious that he was enjoying his new healthier lifestyle and he was getting stronger in mind and body.  He was now easier on the eye as they say!!&#8217;</div>

<div>Then John and I went to Barcelona for a few days break. After watching him getting up alone, and running every morning, amongst the &#8220;beautiful people&#8221; there, I said  &#8216;sign me up!&#8217;</div>

<div>My first session with Adam, was mostly about nutrition and how to improve my diet which wasn&#8217;t too bad overall but needed tweaking.  I&#8217;m 44 and my ethos was mostly to watch my food and get a couple of walks in a week.  In my opinion I was a stone over weight.</div>

<div>I had my first pt the next day.  That was a shocker as I have never worked out properly before so I had zero fitness.  It ended with a possibility of throwing up on the grass, but thankfully that passed and I was amazed I got through it.  Each session got harder and harder for me.  Some strong days, some awful ones.  I even got an injury in my upper thigh which was sorted out after Adam sent me for Thai Massage.  That was also a tough experience, however it worked and my leg was fixed.</div>

<div>Most breakfast cereals are what I would call a <em>lazy mans breakfas</em>t, eaten &#8220;coz it&#8217;s quick and easy and they are too damn lazy to get up 5 mins earlier and cook/prepare something decent.</div>
<div>Now thats its cold outside, the idea of a smoothie or a juice, is not so attractive, as it was in the summer.  So is here my preparation instructions for my <strong>Non Porridge.  I take the liberty to use the word &#8220;NON&#8217; to mean, Its not just porridge &#8211; it&#8217;s much more than that, with the addition of protein and fat, thereby making it a balanced meal,  rather than a breakfast snack.</strong></div>
<ol>
<li>One cup of Kilbeggan* Organic Porridge oat. 2.5 cups of water. (Note &#8211; no milk or creaming agent is needed as the Kilbeggan oats have their own creaminess).</li>
<li>Soak overnight.</li>
<li>Add some** raisins or any dried fruit. Add some mixed seeds and nuts.</li>
<li>Add to high heat till bubbling in a saucepan.</li>
<li>Turn down the heat to summer .</li>
<li>Break two organic eggs into the porridge and stir in gently until they disappear!</li>
<li>Add a small knob of butter and a spoon of honey.</li>
<li>&#8230; and  finally &#8211; I was lucky to top mine off with some of my wife&#8217;s stewed apple and pear.</li>
<li>Now that&#8217;s meal that will keep you satisfied. Enjoy.</li>
<li>Note &#8211; just because you make it once, does not mean to should make and eat it every day! Vary your diet, don&#8217;t be a bore!</li>
<li>Next time, I will share with you my (already famous) recipe for banana pancakes..</li>

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Well the results are in for those who filled in the survey following the final day of the detox.</p>
<p>So overall the results look pretty positive. The graph below appears a little fuzzy, but it is attached also below.</p>
<p><b>Some recommendations as a follow up to the detox are as follows:</b></p>

<div>During the detox you proved self control when <strong>choosing</strong> what to eat.</div>
<div>Please continue to exercise this level of control as you saw the positives to it.</div>
<p>The ingredients you still have over are for continual consumption &#8211; even the Spurulina!<br />
You can continue to make your superfood smoothies in the mornings.<br />
However as the days get cooler, you may opt for some more warming foods:</p>
<ul>
<li>A hot/cooked breakfast &#8211; Eggs, Salmon, Banana Pancakes (PV recipe)</li>
<li>Watch out for &#8211; Unhealthy Sausages &#8211; opt for butcher bought locally made ones. I recommend venison sausages.</li>
<li>Bacon &#8211; use actual ham sliced off the joint &#8211; not processed crap stuff in packets. (that&#8217;s the posh way to do it).</li>
<li>Baked beans &#8211; Get sugar free beans.  Best if a bad bunch of intensively grown crops &#8211; organic one are best.</li>
<li>Egg &#8211; Organic Free Range or local where you can see the hens.</li>
<li>Milky coffees &#8211; If you like foamy ones, stick to something like a Machiato &#8211; whereby the foam is just poured on top of a water based coffee. (Its much lower calories).</li>
<li>Porridge &#8211; no matter what I say about porridge &#8211; there are those who will still eat it. If you do &#8211; Soak it overnight, stick it in a saucepan, and boil it. Dont microwave it as you will wreck every ingredient in it except for the sugars!</li>
<li>Eat warm lunches and dinners.  Salad in the Winter &#8211; just ain&#8217;t natural.</li>
<li>Eat meat based soups and cassaroles &#8211; using veg as your carb source.</li>
<li>Eat stews, whereby the bones are immersed and cooked slowly &#8211; to release the good minerals (like absorbable calcium) and nutrients from the bone marrow.</li>

&#8220;Lost about 8lbs but seemed to put most back on quickly after stopping. Have definitely lost an inch off my waist however and kept it off. Energy levels have increased and feel better all round. I plan to do the next one in Jan. An improvement might be to help participants understand the purpose of each ingredient/recipe. I felt I learned a lot just by reading the packets but don&#8217;t really know how best to continue to use them on an ongoing basis. Perhaps its not that complicated anyway. Another improvement might be to change the resipe measurements as I had half a gallon or so of soup left over ! All round the detox is well worth doing.&#8221;</i></b></i></i><br clear="all" /><i><i>&#8220;Over the preparation week and the detox week I lost 6 kg &#8211; 2 in the preparation week and 4 in detox week&#8221;</i></i></p>

<p><i>&#8220;Worked really good with my body and reset digestive system, no cramps or pains</i><i>&#8220;</i><i>&#8220;I found it quite testing but also quite satisfying on completion. Felt a sense of achievement having completed the 4 days successfully. What I enjoyed most was discovering the juicer and experimenting with the different fruit and veg drinks, colours and flavours were amazing. i found the first day relatively easy, 2nd day hard where by I experienced a slump, 3rd and 4th day I had more energy than 2nd day.I didn&#8217;t return to normal diet but to a low carb diet. In terms of benefits, I didn&#8217;t experience any significant weight loss, I did feel good on the days following the detox but whether this was related to the detox or merely the fact that I felt better due to eating again I don&#8217;t know. I would say I felt a bit lighter, however I ran almost daily during the detox also. i think the detox is useful to reprogram ones diet, to cut down carbs and excessive sugars and not miss them too much once detox is over, shows us we can function very well on much smaller amounts of sugars &amp; carbs.&#8221;</i><br />

Great energy levels- day 2 was the worst!<br />
Would definitely do it again after Christmas!&#8221;</i></p>
